ENATAI GARDENS RESIDENCE This home suffered from three things that many
homes suffer from: While this home had decent 'bones', it still needed
reworking to solve these problems. Removing the existing fireplace and
adding a small glassed-in dining room addition solved the problem of lack
of dining room space and poor access to a large outdoor terrace over the
garage. The focus of the living room was changed by adding a zero-clearance
gas fireplace and reorienting the stairs to the lower level. The original
front facade of the home was very flat and lacked a defined entry. To
add street appeal, a new covered entry and a bay at the kitchen sink were
added to articulate the front of the house and help define the entry.
New landscaping and reworked exterior parking and circulation will help
make the exterior of the home more inviting and functional. |
