The Urban Library, an infill project located in the urban environment, is the first exposure the students have to a project with a small program that demands they design in section, rather than plan.

The studio focused on designing an urban library in a tight context, while maintaining connections to outdoor spaces, and allowing natural light to penetrate into all parts of the building.

Four main issues that this project focused on were program, structure, circulation and section as generators of ideas about architecture.
