Seattle, WA - A new master suite and powder room addition seamlessly integrates into a classic Capitol Hill craftsman home


Nestled into the hillside and surrounded by woods, walking up the curving front steps is both a journey to the home as well as back in time. Few Seattle Craftsman homes are in as pristine and original condition as this one. Very few changes were made to this home over the years, and what changes were made seamlessly blend into the style of the home.  We strived to continue this trend with our remodel and addition, which consisted of a new master bedroom and bathroom addition, and a new powder room on the main level.   

On the upper level of the home, a small addition was added to an existing bedroom to create a larger master bedroom and walk-in closet that symmetrically balanced an existing dormer which was repurposed as a master bath.  On the main level another small addition houses a powder room and laundry closet.  The result is a house that functions much better and still maintains all its charm and character.
