Motionspace Architecture + Design is a small and thriving design company located in Seattle, Washington. I strive to provide responsive service and high quality design by working closely with my clients, listening to their needs, and understanding their goals. Your desires are incredibly important to me and I believe they help make a project special by giving it its own unique and soulful character. I am experienced at listening to your goals and transforming them through the design process into a thoughtful solution that not only works functionally but is also well proportioned, well detailed, and appropriate for the context.

In my practice I focus on doing two things very well: providing high quality design and a high level of service.

DESIGN

I built the foundation of the firm on delivering good design. I start the design process by listening to your needs, then helping to identify the problems to be solved. Design is a process which can lead you down many roads. I try to find the right one for you that meets your needs but also delivers something more. While solving programmatic and functional requirements is fundamental to the design process, I always strive to transcend the basics by creating design that is both experiential and sensory. By using space, light, color, detail and material, I craft designs that provide a rich and layered experience, appropriate for the time, the place, and the particular client.

SERVICE

Design projects are incredibly challenging and often personal undertakings. Whether it’s a living environment or work environment, all our clients are highly invested in their projects. When you hire Motionspace, I commit to being highly accessible to you when you need to discuss your project. I also take pride in developing complete design documents and specifications. Well drawn and well detailed design documents help to clearly communicate the design intent to our clients, building departments, and contractors.
