“It has been a busy last couple of weeks getting everything ready and finally moving into our house on Monday.  We can’t thank you enough for creating the perfect house for our family with such beautiful architecture and design. We appreciate all your guidance, hard work and time. You were with us every step of the way and we could not have done this without you.  We could always count on you for great advice and trust that you had our best interest in mind.    Thank you so much! Please also pass on our thanks to your entire team behind the scenes as I am sure it could not have happened without them as well.”

“Nazim prepared plans and permit submissions for a renovation of my previously unfinished basement. He and his team were great to work with, and I am very happy with how the project turned out. Nazim quickly understood my goals for the project, my design tastes, and my budget constraints. The design process went smoothly and the work was completed on schedule and on budget. Nazim came up with some excellent solutions for working around awkward spaces created by the existing structure. These solutions really made the finished project feel like an extension of the rest of my house as opposed to a tacked on finished basement. I would highly recommend working with Nazim and his team.”

“I just completed building my dream home which was designed by Motionspace (Nazim and Jack). It was a positive experience from start to finish. Nazim and Jack listened to everything that I wanted and came up with a design that met all my desires and was better than I could ever imagine. Throughout the construction process, the team was responsive to any issues that came up. They were always on top of things. I would highly recommend them and, in fact, am going to use them again on another project.”

“Our experience with Nazim and his team at Motionspace was fantastic and we would highly recommend him to anyone for his vision, openness, and professionalism. He designed a beautiful remodel for our home that included adding a new bedroom, bathroom, and mudroom/laundry room. The new floor plan is more functional for our family and we really love it. He listened to our ideas and accommodated them in his design, which made us feel respected. During the construction, we worked with Uri as our day-to-day point person and he was always available and responsive and we really felt we could count on him to support us when interacting with our contractors. The overall experience was really great and we are so happy with the outcome. If we ever need to do another home project, we wouldn’t hesitate to work with them in the future!”

“We worked with Nazim on our 5000 square foot, whole house remodel of an early 20th Century 4-square in Capitol Hill. Nazim is a delight to work with. He is a kind and thoughtful person, working seamlessly with everyone on our job. Moreover, he is a gifted architect with an amazing ability to translate a vague idea into 3-D reality. He has an incredible eye for and attention to detail – repeatedly he was the only one who identified and solved potential issues, always in an affordable and aesthetic way. I highly recommend Nazim and would not do another remodel without him.”

“Nazim and Uri were amazing to work with. Nazim designed a beautiful and seemless remodel for us to add a second story onto our home. Uri, his associate, was the perfect project manager who kept us knowing what we needed to do next. Uri was also great and moving the general contractor and subs along. I would highly recommend this company. We have been in our house for a few weeks and my husband and I continue to admire all the little details they thought of.”

“Nazim, and the team he has assembled at Motionspace, continue to impress me. I have worked with him on 6 projects so far, and will continue to do so.

His work is defined by a fantastic collaborative and communicative process that highlights an artistic yet practical approach–which is rare to find. It seems as though on every home I wonder if I have challenged him with unrealistic expectations, yet the designs speak for themselves, and I once again am reminded why I enjoy working with him so much.

I would recommend Motionspace Architecture to anyone in the market for remodel/addition or new construction designs and specifications.”

“We did a complete remodel of our 1923 craftsman home. Nazim Nice and his team drew up plans both creative and sensible. They listened to ALL of our hopes for improvement, made many suggestions for furthering our ideas, led us away from some unsound plans, and drew up the most detailed set of specs I have ever seen. They helped interview contractors. We gutted the inside of the house and even the framers said what a huge improvement the changes made! As the job progressed, we simply had to follow the specs. It made everyone’s life easy. If a question came up, an email would be sent to the office and an almost immediate response would come back. Meticulous attention to detail was an enormous help to us and the contractor. The results (in budget and on time) are spectacular! Motionspace gets our highest recommendation and respect.”

“I just completed construction of my new single family residence and am very excited to move into my new home in West Seattle. I am very much satisfied and would highly recommend Nazim Nice and Motionspace Architecture + Design. My project in West Seattle consisted of demolition of an existing 1919 1,800 square foot home on a dead end street and construction of a 2,600 square foot home . The lot is a steep slope site classified as an environmentally critical site. This added significant complexity to the permitting, excavation, and construction process. In addition, I was out of state on a work assignment during the planning and construction timeframe. Motionspace and Nazim has exceeded all of my expectations. Motionspace exceeded expectations on quality of all aspects of the design, from the foundation to detail finishes. Nazim listened very carefully to my ideas and concerns. Nazim’s ability to listen to his clients’ ideas and concerns is one of his strengths. He takes meticulous notes and is careful about details. My ideas were always accurately reflected in the design. His overall design sense is very strong and very responsive to individual tastes. Everything I asked of him was done very promptly. The process started in January 2014. We held several preliminary meetings and pursued two different concepts. We soon focused in on the hip roof design. We developed preliminary detail plans between February and June and iterated on room locations, # of bedrooms and view decks. In July, Nazim recommended three general contractors for preliminary bids. Each generated rough estimates with various levels of details of pricing. During the summer of 2014, we concentrated on incorporating feedback from the structural engineer and looking for cost savings opportunities based on the preliminary submittals from the three candidate contractors. In Aug and Sept 2014, we continued to work with Seattle Department of Planning on permitting and finalizing plans for final pricing from our candidates general contractors. In late Sept 2014 , we succeeded in getting the permits and sent out the final plans for best and final offers from the three candidate general contractors. By October, we had selected a general contractor and demolition started on Dec 1 2014. Construction was completed in November 2015.Nazim was able to successfully navigate the many Seattle planning department obstacles presented by my site. Together we have made good decisions. For example – we could have asked for the old foundation footprint to be grandfathered – but based on Nazim’s recommendation we decided to comply with all current rules in regulations. We might still be awaiting final permitting if we had gone down the other path – I have no regrets. The home exceeds my expectations with respect to my vision of being reminiscent of a Frank Lloyd Wright prairie style house. If you look at pictures of the Darwin Martin complex in Buffalo (where I grew up) or Robie house in Chicago – you can see the inspiration for my home in West Seattle. Now that we are finished with the interior – I am pleased as well with our detail interior choices as well – we have achieved the 1920s arts and crafts style that I wanted.I am getting a lot of complements on our interior selections as well. For example – Nazim pushed me a bit outside my comfort zone on mixing and matching different woods and colors. I would have probably selected one cherry color wood for all of the window and door details, the hardwood floors and the kitchen cabinets. Instead we selected three different woods – and I am very happy with the results. Again, Motionspace and Nazim has exceeded all of my expectations. I highly recommend Nazim Nice and Motionspace Architecture + Design. “

“We hired Nazim and Motionspace to remodel our 1928 Tudor revival home. Nazim designed a few options for us and helped us make our dream home come true. Our project included an addition to the front of the home that Nazim did a great job of incorporating into the original design of the home. Nazim has a wonderful, calm demeanor and took care of all the permitting and details relieving of us of that stress. We interviewed three contractors that Nazim recommended to us that he felt were a good fit for the scope of our project. We were very happy with the contractor that we picked and had the assurance that Nazim had worked with him and his crew in the past. Everything was top-notch with this project and our experience was pleasant considering how stressful a home remodel project can be. All of the professionals who works on our home were a pleasure to work with!”

“In late July of 2014 we purchased a home in West Seattle and wanted to convert a bedroom to a full bath and walk-in closet to complete a master bedroom suite. We engaged Motionspace Architecture and Design to prepare all the necessary drawings and permit applications for the project. We discussed the scope of work and the budget we had in mind with Nazim Nice who understood our needs immediately and proc
