Motionspace Architecture + Design in Seattle has specified DaVinci Multi-Width Slate for a high-end custom lakefront home, emphasizing its blend of aesthetics and performance. The roofing material was selected for its range of colors, minimal maintenance, resistance to fading, and durability against high winds and harsh weather from Lake Washington. The lighter weight of the synthetic slate also facilitated the integration of solar panels and skylights. Nazim Nice, Founding Partner with Motionspace, explained that with increasingly unpredictable weather, including stronger storms and heavier rain, reliable roofing is essential for long-term performance in the face of future climate challenges.
